HURRICANES IRENE AND LEE STORM RELIEF UPDATE

Since August 28, 2011 the Albany Diocese has raised in excess of $300,000 in donations for storm related relief efforts and there is SO much more that still needs to be done!

Thank you to all the incredibly generous donors, volunteers, and community partners who have been providing:

  • Connections to skilled labor for sheet rocking, foundation work, flooring, insulation, roofing, electricity, basement drying
  • Funds for rent, security deposits and mortgage payments
  • Resources to purchase and install furnaces, water heaters, fuel replacement and appliances
  • Basic necessities such as food, clothing, furniture and household goods
  • Dedicated case managers to listen, direct, and connect those affected to existing services
Catholic Charities will continue to provide supports as the needs of those affected continue to change and our neighbors continue to rebuild.

Do you know of anyone who needs help recovering and rebuilding after Hurricanes Irene/Lee? If so, please contact your local Catholic Charities agency.

Our Harvest of Giving Campaign allows you the opportunity to generously donate so that we can serve all those that need our help. Last year over 123,000 people reached out to Catholic Charities and we were able to be there for them through your monetary support of the Harvest of Giving Campaign.
