This agency coordinates an array of essential basic need and youth services in Albany, Rensselaer and Schenectady Counties including day care, after-school and summer programs, a youth enrichment program, school social work services, emergency assistance, food pantries, a soup kitchen, re-entry services, outreach and casework services, an auto loan program, and information and referral assistance.

A residential summer camp for children 7-17 years of age, and a day camp for children 5-10 years of age, located on Snyder's Lake in Rensselaer County. Camp provides summertime recreation and socialization to children throughout the Capital Region of Upstate New York. It is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA).

CoNSERNS-U is committed to helping people meet the challenges of day-to-day living. Services include a food pantry, crisis intervention, information and referral, advocacy, clothing, back-to-school, emergency assistance, a Christmas store, clothe-a-child and holiday projects. Casework and counseling services are also provided to individuals and families.

The services and activities of the Roarke Center are intended to improve the quality of life for its members, enable them to build self-esteem, provide social support, and assist them to achieve their full potential. Available services include: emergency assistance; food pantry, The Roarke Connection for women with legal issues or leaving incarceration; medical services for the uninsured, creative arts, creative writing, digital photography, sewing and weaving; adult literacy.

Provides supports and services to meet the needs of those living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS and other chronic medical conditions and their loved ones, regardless of orientation, lifestyle or belief. This is accomplished by service and programs including: health home care coordination, intensive and supportive case management; Project Safe Point (syringe disposal, access/exchange services, recovery readiness counseling, treatment access, HIV/Hepatitis testing and opioid overdose prevention); linguistic services (medical interpretation for those with limited English proficiency); housing support services; personal care closet; and emergency financial assistance. The agency functions in a consultative manner for the entire Catholic Charities system and the Diocese in matters related to HIV/AIDS.

Catholic Charities Housing Office (CCHO) provides emergency and low-cost housing and supportive services for individuals struggling with homelessness, as well as victims of human trafficking and refugees resettled in the U.S. CCHO is committed to providing equal housing opportunities.

 

Single Room Occupancy (SRO) Residences

SRO residences offer permanent housing for persons who are homeless and in need of low-cost housing with supportive services. Services include case management, meal programs and information and referral. Open to both men and women.
