Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany in accordance with its mission is an organization committed to quality services and works diligently in creating a culture that is characterized by ethical conduct and decision making, transparency, continuous quality improvement and support to staff through education and training. An essential part of this organizational culture is a commitment to compliance with the laws, rules, regulations, and codes of federal, state, and local entities that guide the delivery of our services.
As an organization that receives federal and state funding, Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany is responsible to provide constituents with information regarding Federal and State False Claims Acts and whistleblower protections. The False Claims Acts are designed to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse of government funds. For further details:

Catholic Charities has a Corporate Compliance Plan in place to prevent fraud, waste, and abuse of funds and resources. The Catholic Charities Corporate Compliance Plan outlines processes promoting the prevention, detection, and resolution of instances that may not conform: 1) to our mission and values; 2) to standards of ethical conduct; 3) to federal, state, and local laws; 4) to federal, state and private payor health care program requirements, such as Medicaid and Medicare. The Corporate Compliance Program at Catholic Charities addresses the elements of compliance as outlined in federal and state regulations.
