Community Maternity Services was founded in 1971 as a single residential program providing services to pregnant adolescents. The agency has grown through the years to meet the changing needs of the children, adolescents, and families in our communities. Today, CMS provides a continuum of services, including parent education for pregnant and parenting adolescents and/or young parents in rural counties, unique residential programs for youth in foster care, supportive counseling for at-risk students in two schools in Albany, and parenting education groups for parents with special needs.
