Ombudsman Program Seeks Resident Advocates

Catholic Charities Senior Caregiver and Support Services is looking for volunteers to act as resident advocates for the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program.

Certified Volunteer Ombudsmen visit nursing homes, assisted living facilities and family type homes weekly. Ombudsmen help residents and their families understand and exercise their rights to quality care and quality of life. Volunteers resolve complaints and help to preserve the dignity of residents in long-term care facilities.

Caring and compassionate volunteers are needed to visit and advocate for long-term care residents. Training and support provided.

Volunteers needed in the following counties:
Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery and Schoharie Counties
