At Catholic Charities, we're once again recognizing our “CC Heroes” – our staff and volunteers who work tirelessly in service of our neighbors. Each month, we're honoring a staff person and a volunteer from a different Catholic Charities agency and highlighting their work.
This month, we're pleased to recognize Eseka Nyamaa and Tatiana Melendez from Catholic Charities United Tenants.
Eseka is a volunteer student intern with United Tenants of Albany. She has been with the organization since August of 2020 and has shown a fantastic commitment to serving tenants with housing issues in the Albany Community. Eseka takes the uncertainties and complications posed by the pandemic in stride, always putting the needs of the tenants first. UTA is so grateful to have a hero like Eseka, who is the recipient of this month's Sister Maureen Joyce Award for her volunteerism:
Tatiana is the Assistant Program Director at UTA. Tatiana has been with the organization for over three years and she is dedicated to serving tenants at-risk of homelessness in the Albany Community. Tatiana is a joy to work with and is always supporting her coworkers and creating positivity in the work environment. Tatiana's work embodies the spirit of our mission and we're pleased to honor her with February's Sister Serena Branson Award:
