Catholic Charities Disabilities Services was established in 1984. They provide services and supports to children and adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities residing within eleven counties including Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Schoharie, Columbia and Greene.
They strive to provide individuals who have developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries with opportunities and supports to learn the skills and develop the confidence needed to live their lives as independently as possible within the community of their choice. They pledge to maintain the highest level of excellence and sensitivity in all that they do to provide dignified, caring, and professional services that assist the people they support to maximize their potential in every area of life, regardless of their age or the nature of their disabilities.
Their values-based approach incorporates, at its core, communication, dignity, empowerment, excellence, independence, integrity, leadership, responsiveness, and safety. These values are woven into all that they do and are, without question, the key to our overall success.
Catholic Charities Disabilities Services offers a comprehensive array of services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. They provide support to individuals and families to meet their needs, personal goals, and aspirations. They do their very best to provide, find, or create the opportunities clients need and request.
