Herkimer County Food & Nutrition

The program provides emergency and supplemental food to those in need in the Ilion, Frankfort, and Schuyler areas.  

Pantry hours of operation are Mondays through Fridays, 1 - 3 pm. Service is by appointment only.

The Nutrition Outreach and Education Program (NOEP) promotes the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly Food Stamps) through: community outreach; collaboration with local social agencies; formal NOEP presentations to a diverse array of social/business agencies and clubs; direct client assistance involving “pre-screening” for potential program eligibility and extensive help in applying for and maintaining benefits; and support/advocacy for clients as they navigate the system with the bulk of the time committed to direct client assistance.

A food co-op program offering quality food at a reasonable price, with an estimated savings of up to $15 per unit over retail. There are no age, income, or geographic requirements to participate in the community Food $en$e Program - all are welcome. Individuals may order as many units of food as they wish for $15.50 per unit. Bonus items are also available for purchase, and SNAP is welcomed.
