YOUTH SERVICES PROGRAMS
Advancing Tobacco-Free Communities:
Program to reduce adolescent and adult use of tobacco through cooperative programs in prevention, cessation, advocacy, and community education. We provide educational materials on tobacco-related issues to individuals and organizations conduct presentations and sponsor media campaigns to raise public awareness and support for addressing problems caused or affected by tobacco use, and work collaboratively with community leaders and local officials to bring about policy-based solutions.Together we are working for tobacco-free communities and we’re helping make our counties healthier places to live, work, and play.
Reality Check Program:
Reality Check is a youth-led movement within the New York State Department of Health, Bureau of Tobacco Control for teens ages 13 - 18. A part of the newly formed Advancing Tobacco Control Program of Fulton, Montgomery and Hamilton Counties, they are committed to working with the youth of this catchment area to expose the manipulative and deceptive marketing practices of the tobacco industry.
