Ombudsman Program Seeks Resident Advocates

Catholic Charities Senior Caregiver and Support Services is looking for volunteers to act as resident advocates for the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program. Certified Volunteer Ombudsmen visit nursing homes, assisted living facilities and family type homes weekly. Last week marked the kick-off of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program for 2018. The program is a collaboration with CA$H Coalition of the Greater Capital Region, Catholic Charities Tri-County Services and United Way of the Greater Capital Region.
