Day Care Registration
In Otsego County, registered Family Day Care and School Age Child Care is coordinated through Child Care Services of Catholic Charities. 

As a general rule, any day care program planning to serve 3 or more children for more than 3 hours a day on a regular basis must obtain a license or registration.Applicants must show that the day care program meets requirements that the state has established to help ensure the health and safety of children in care. Once licensed or registered, compliance with the requirements must be monitored and maintained.

Legally Exempt Child Care Enrollment
Legally Exempt Child Care is care provided for one or two children who are not the provider's own children. Catholic Charities processes enrollment applications for and conducts inspections on Legally Exempt providers who receive child care subsidy payments through the Department of Social Services.
